Here's how to convert tab for guitar or bass to tablature for the Chapman

The number at the right is how many frets to slide up or down from the one
written on the guitar tab.  The note name in the middle is the string names of
those on guitar.  (But on a 10-string, you have 5 melody strings -- one less
than guitar -- and have to shift in one direction or the other).  The note
name on the left is the name of the Stick string.  And with bass guitar,
remember to flip the strings into reverse order.

This will work to get you the *note*, you'll usually have to shift down a
string, and shift up 5 frets ('cause otherwise you're too high up on the neck
to play [by "high" I mean physically, not pitch-wise -- perhaps I should have
said "closer to the nut"]).
